About the Artist
William Bill-Olue Kawah was born on May 17th, 1992 in Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia. When he was just 10 years old, his family moved to Ghana due to the civil war that was ravaging his homeland. Since then, he has spent the rest of his life in Accra, Ghana.
William’s love for photography deepened when he moved a few minutes’ drive from the beach in Accra. He was amazed by the beauty of the environment during sunrise and sunset, the reflection of the sun on the sea, the fishing communities, and the people in silhouette from a distance. Since then, he has dedicated himself to photography and takes trips around Ghana to capture the beauty of the culture that is often neglected by society.
About the Photography
William’s passion for photography stems from his desire to bring out the beauty of things that others may overlook. He believes that there is beauty in everything, even in the fading cultures in the environment.
